When people get old, they tend to lose their capacity to think. This fact scares some people even more than the diseases that are correlated with aging. A treatment of dementia has not been discovered, yet. However, some techniques that improve memory in New England seem to be very effective, as they improve the symptoms and enhance the memory.

One of the studies that have been conducted in order to observe the benefic effects of the techniques involved more than 2900 adults. The age of the patients who suffered from dementia ranged from 65 to 94 years. The goal of this study was to determine whether the memory training, reasoning training, and reaction time training are indeed effective or not. A control group, on which no treatment has been used, also participated at this study.

Each of the trainings to improve memory in New England was split in 10 sessions of 60 to 75 minutes long. One member was allowed to follow only one type of training. The duration of these trainings was of 5 to 6 weeks. Eleven months after this has happened, random patients have been called back and offered something that is called booster training. This consisted of 4 sessions of 75 minutes. The duration of the booster training was of 2 to 3 weeks.

In order to observe the effects of the techniques to improve memory in New England, scientist measured the abilities of the patients in four occasions: prior to the training, right after training, one year later and two years later. The results revealed that the next percentages experienced improvements: 26% of the patients from the memory training group, 74% of the reasoning training group and 87% of the reaction time training group. These percentages are incredibly good. However, these people were not able to improve the abilities that they need every day. The booster training increased even more those percentages.

The techniques to improve memory in New England that were mentioned here are memory training, reasoning training and reaction time training. The first one refers to recalling mnemonic devices and lists or successions of various elements. The reasoning training helped people to find blueprint in a progression. The last one – reaction time training verified the ability to retrieve and to identify various notions. The final training also helped people to improve their concentration and to pay attention only to the most important things.
