Today, India has taken a lead in offering lower cosmetic surgery costs to patients worldwide that are dramatically lower than in Europe and America.

Even better, these reduced cosmetic surgery costs still mean you get unrivalled world class treatments and healthcare.

So, why are the costs so low?

The reason for these dramatically reduced cosmetic surgery costs lies in the growth of medical tourism, as a multi billion pound industry.

Medical tourism dramatically reducing treatment costs worldwide

Medical tourism refers to the procedure where people in a specific country seek to reduce the costs of their medical treatment and operations, by using more inexpensive facilities in another country.

In fact, in many instances you can enjoy a holiday with the savings and still have significant funds left over, after all cosmetic surgery and holiday costs have been taken into account!

India as medical tourism destination

There are plenty of countries offering medical tourism packages; however, if you want to reduce costs, you do not want to compromise on the quality of your healthcare.

This is major reason why India has become a popular destination for medical tourists from all over the world.

India’s advantage is that it combines healthcare that is on par with any other country, with prices costs that are significantly less, than those in the US or Europe.

India is now the leading country promoting medical tourism in the world and growth in the industry means it is becoming a multi billion pound industry.

Indian educational standards in medicine are high and this is reflected in the number of Indian expats working in the healthcare industry.

Many of these expatriate doctors, surgeons, nurses and other healthcare workers are returning home to meet the demand from medical tourists.

The Price of Cosmetic Surgery in India

A major sector of the growth in medical tourism in India has been in the area of cosmetic surgery, where prices still remain very high in Europe and the US.

In fact, cosmetic surgery costs of some treatments can be between 50 - 90% cheaper than in the US or Europe!

The cosmetic and reconstructive surgery industry in India is growing due to, the combination of lower costs, the expertise of medical staff, combined with the latest medical techniques and equipment.

Cosmetic surgery treatments Include:

Cosmetic dentistry, hair restoration, rhinoplasty, (reshaping or re-contouring noses) Face lifts, eyelifts, eye surgery, brow lifts, submetal lipectomy, demabrasions, laser hair removal, otoplasty, chin and cheek re shaping, lip surgery, breast surgery, liposuction and many more.

Cosmetic surgery in India offers the opportunity of:

Dramatically reduced costs, quality treatments and a free holiday!

This means you are also able to enjoy the possibility of a free holiday in one of the most beautiful and diverse countries on the planet, and maybe even have some funds left over!

The generally held medical standpoint is that there is no clear-cut treatment for stretch marks. We are not talking of major cosmetic surgery or otherwise radical intervention here, of course – those are definitely possible approaches, but highly expensive ones that are by no means free of inherent complications. Before one considers medical or surgical alternatives, it makes sense to examine the most favored home treatments.

These can at no time be viewed as anything more than preventive methods and possible damage control. No one should harbor the illusion that stretch marks can be made to disappear by ‘homegrown’ means. They can at best be minimized – which is a major step forward, considering that cosmetics are largely ineffectual in hiding them.

The best time for preventive measures is when stretch marks are just beginning to be visible. At this stage, the failing elasticity of the skin can be augmented with moisturizing agents such as cocoa butter and good quality vitamin E compounds such as almond oil. Another time-honored method of reducing stretch marks caused by obesity is exercising the affected area consistently. This would mean straight leg raises for stretch marks on the hips and thighs, stomach crunches if the belly is affected, etc.

Ongoing research will doubtlessly yield some workable home remedies for stretch marks. For instance, a compound developed on the basis of research conducted by the Duke University Medical Center reportedly seems to be able to replenish collagen in certain cases. The compound’s operative ingredient is vitamin C. No reliable surveys have been made as to its efficacy, but the fact that the world of science is seriously looking for over-the-counter remedies for stretch marks is encouraging.

The use of vitamin K and lavender oil has also been reported as at least marginally beneficial in controlling stretch marks.

Some Important Facts About the Costs of Cosmetic Surgery

When you call a plastic surgeon to determine the overall cost make sure to ask specifically what is covered in the fee that is quoted to you. You should make sure that the quoted price includes the surgeons fee, as well as covering any fees for the anesthesiologist and operating room.

Many times when receiving a quote they will only inform you of the surgeons fees without telling you that is all they are actually quoting you. when in reality the surgeon’s fee is roughly only 60-80% of the cost for the entire procedure. This is to get you to make an appointment to see the doctor which is when they will tell you the true total cost.

That can be quite different compared to the amount you where told over the phone. It is also wise to ask if the consultation fee itself can be deducted from the total cost. Most reputable surgeons should allow this deduction.

Another potential cost factor to have clarified is, if the surgical process takes longer then is estimated who will burden the extra cost? This can turn out to be a significant extra expenditure. If the surgery is done in a hospital the anesthesia and operating room fees can accrue at an hourly rate.

There are two more issues I would like to mention. It is important to determine if you will be charged for any potential revisional surgery should it be necessary. One hopes they won’t need any revisional surgery done, but it is best to not automatically assume that will be the case. Some cosmetic surgery procedures have revision rates as high as 10-25%. If you or your plastic surgeon do not bring up these possible issue, you may end up having to fit the bill for these additional surgeries.

Lastly one should inquire if the fees for all future follow up appointments are included in the total cost. It is fairly common to receive anywhere from 9 to 12 months of follow up care at no additional cost.

As for the prices themselves they are pretty uniform in the United States on the whole. Although in some areas of New York certain procedures may cost 30-50 % more when compared to the rest of the nation. Below are some of the average prices from the east and west coast of north America for various procedures. Due note that these are the rates for accredited institutions and surgeons. It is defiently not worth the risk to try and save a few bucks by dealing with non accredited practioners.

Breast Lift $5000-6000

Breast Augmentation $5000-8000 (depends on if the implants are saline or silicone. Silicone being the more expensive of the two.)

Face Lift $7000-9000

Liposuction $2000-10,000 (depends on how many areas the procedure is done to.)

Nose Surgery $5000-6000

Tummy Tuck $6000-8000

Above are just the estimates for some of the more popular procedures. The figures themselves come from a survey done by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

People are never satisfied with what they have. There is always an urge to have more. People want more money, more success, more fame, etc. The same thing happens in case of appearance. Looking more beautiful has always enticed human beings – men as well as women. Right from the ancient times, women have been wearing make up to look beautiful and more appealing. There is a boom in the cosmetics industry world over.

With the advancement in medical science in the last one century, people can now improve their appearance in a more conspicuous manner. Cosmetic surgery has revolutionised the way people make changes to their appearance. There has been a rise in the number of cosmetic surgeries in the UK. The most popular cosmetic surgery among women is breast augmentation. Among men, rhinoplasty comes at the top. Other popular cosmetic surgeries include blepharoplasty, face lift, neck list, abdominoplasty, liposuction, etc.

Cosmetic surgery is very expensive. It is not in the reach of a common man. The worst part is that cosmetic surgery is not covered by health insurance schemes. You have to use your savings to undergo such treatment. If you do not enough money for this, you can take out a cosmetic surgery loan. Lenders want to take advantage of the expanding cosmetic surgery market. They are now offering loans ranging form small amounts to large amounts. You can obtain a secured or an unsecured loan depending upon your requirement.

For a small surgical procedure, you can take out an unsecured loan. Lenders do not offer large amounts of unsecured loans but since a minor surgery is not very expensive, an unsecured loan will be sufficient. A secured loan is ideal if you are planning to undergo a major cosmetic surgery. You can spread the repayment of a secured loan over a long period of time so that the amount of monthly installments becomes small. Another advantage of a secured loan is a low rate of interest. You can obtain a secured loan only if you have some property to offer as a security to the lender. If you are a homeowner, you can offer your house as collateral to get a secured loan. Apply for a secured loan only if you are confident that you will repay it since your property may be repossessed by the lender if you default in the loan repayment.

There are many reasons women and men want to change or alter their physical appearance. Aging, illness and accidents are a few of the circumstantial reasons, but regardless of the circumstances the most common motivation is the desire for increased confidence and satisfaction with one’s look. One way to add vibrancy to your facial features and to regain some of your color and appeal is to invest in micropigmentation or permanent makeup procedures. Micropigmentation can increase definition of the eyes, lips and eyebrows and this definition lights up the face so you appear more present and more attractive.

Like plastic and cosmetic surgery, permanent makeup has often been misunderstood and degraded. The media has sensationalized occurrences of allergic reactions and poor technique and rarely reported on the wonderful results a majority of micropigmentation clients receive. Don’t get me wrong, there are risks and a trained, ethical practitioner will inform you of all of the potential problems involved and will take the time to assist you in making a decision that is in your best interests.

The Importance of Understanding Cosmetic Surgery

As the American Academy of Micropigmentation (AAM) and the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP) have created new standards and certification processes the industry of micropigmentation has become more respected every year as a profession and as an art. Plastic surgeons agree it takes talent and experience to complete permanent makeup procedures that work. Cosmetic surgery and micropigmentation are both costly and time consuming to correct when procedures have been done poorly or by an untrained hand.

While researching the topic of micropigmentation online you will find that the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and even the University of Pennsylvania Health System’s Department of Plastic Surgery all recommend micropigmentation or permanent makeup as an option. It is often considered a complimentary procedure that has a number of advantages.

At the ASAPS discusses how micropigmentation can help recreate the areola around the nipple or to restore the color of skin where natural pigmentation has been lost. Permanent makeup can also help visually correct eye and lip shape when they less than ideal.

Dixie Medford, President of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, and an experienced professional, states in her article Permanent Makeup A Modern Look At An Ancient Art that “Women aren’t going to tattoo parlors to get permanent makeup. Instead they are visiting their local salon or medical office.” “More and more physicians, nurses and licensed estheticians,” she continues, “are adding Intradermal Pigmentation, otherwise referred to as Permanent Cosmetics, to their menu of services.” Dixie Medford, also discusses the importance of permanent makeup practitioners knowing their clients and understanding the implications of plastic surgery procedures in her article Waking Up With Makeup Could Be A Nightmare.

She states the following, “The technician needs to be aware of when and how to do eyebrows on plastic surgery patients that are considering or having brow lift surgery or Botox injections.” “It is important,” Medford continues, “to be aware of the impact of aging skin and the changes that will occur in the brow shape.” She goes on to say; “Plastic surgery and aging are also factors to consider when performing eyeliner….The permanent cosmetic technician must take additional consideration when working on post surgical clients.”

Micropigmentation as an Alternative

Permanent makeup works well as a complimentary procedure for patients seeking plastic surgery, however, it can also be considered an alternative to particular procedures. The same effects created by a surgical brow lift or collagen injections into the lips can sometimes be achieved through micropigmentation. There are many reasons a patient should not choose to have plastic surgery. Often these reasons are associated with physical or mental health problems. A good cosmetic surgeon will be certain their potential patient is physically able to handle a surgery and to heal well. They will make sure the potential patient is in a healthy frame of mind and has a positive perspective on the procedure since this too can affect the healing process and outcome of the surgery.

For these patients micropigmentation may be a less intense and risky procedure. Also, if a patient has experienced problems after a facelift, micropigmentation can help to correct drooping eyelids and other issues so the client can avoid additional expensive corrective surgery.

Ask anyone which facial feature they most often notice first and many times the answer is the eyes. Eyes are the most expressive feature on the human face; through them we see emotion, thoughts, secrets and reflections of ourselves. To illustrate the power of permanent makeup and the art of eyeliner let me tell you about one of my clients. The star feature of her face was fabulous almond shaped eyes. Following cosmetic surgery to take her back in time a bit, her eyes healed into a different shape, which made the outer corners awkwardly rounded and one lower eyelid partially drooped. Before agreeing to another surgery to fix it, she searched for an alternative way to regain the almond shape. With a little design strategy and meticulously placed pigment all around her eyes, we lifted the droop and then by marking into puckered scar tissue, we re-created the almond-type point at the outer corner of each eye. My client was amazed at how precise and subtle the permanent makeup appeared and she was thrilled to be able to go without topical makeup once again.

When I think of the power of permanent eye makeup, another client always comes to mind. Advanced in years, she wanted the outer her to reflect the youthfulness of the inner her. The blue color of her eyes was stunning, and definitely worth flaunting; however, a few wisps of blonde eyelashes and a total absence of eyebrows did nothing towards the cause. She started out conservatively with very soft, natural-looking permanent eyebrows and lash enhancement. A year later she returned, asking for a bolder look. Here is what she had to say: “Even with the plastic surgery (3 facelifts), the permanent makeup is what gave me the most self esteem. I wish I’d known about it and done it years ago.”

Consider the Advantages

Permanent makeup appeals to a wide variety of people. Busy moms, athletes, travelers, equestrians, chefs, models, doctors, dancers, police officers, busy career people and busily retired people have all been clients of mine. In my experience the best argument for a cosmetic tattoo is simply convenience. Individuals who suffer from allergies, toxicity issues, poor vision, hair loss or disabilities that limit manual dexterity have benefited from permanent makeup. Of course, the most rewarding aspect of permanent makeup is the most obvious: it stays put! Permanent eyeliner will never smear or rub away through watery eyes, perspiration, wind, snow, rain, fatigue, or a long night’s sleep. For those of you who like the compliment of eyeliner to your face, permanent makeup can give you the look you want without the extra work or cost involved with traditional makeup.

The Difference Between Lash Enhancement and Eyeliner

Skillfully applied lash enhancement looks very natural, not at all like makeup. For a lash enhancement, one or more shades of color are placed in a sprinkle or a line at the base of the eyelash hairs only, making the lashes appear darker and thicker. Rather than eyeliner, I recommend lash enhancement to women, or men, who want a lift to their face “naturally”. It makes a good argument for “less is more”.

Eyeliner begins with lash enhancement and then widens above or below the eyelashes. Permanent eyeliner can have a hard edge, a softened edge, or even a smudgy, shadow look placed where it most enhances you. It can be very precise, with delicate, crisp endings to the lines; or it can be a soft powdery look. Eyeliner really rocks as a way to bring a flattering color lift to the face. Sometimes a subtle blend of multiple colors creates the perfect effect. I recommend you think conservative, tasteful, and classic. Although this is not totally permanent, it is long lasting. Choose cosmetic tattoos that will wear well through changes in mind, lifestyle and age. To bring out the trendy, glamorous or outrageous expressions of you just add topical cosmetics.

There are numerous ways people try to achieve weight loss these days from diet programs & diet pills to diet patches, from hypnotherapy to cosmetic surgery. But what really works? What is the best method for you to lose those unwanted pounds and get the body you dream of?

Well I’m afraid there is no easy answer to weight loss, no quick fix or wonder drug that is suddenly going to help you to achieve the weight loss you desire. It is going to take hard work & will power in order for you to reach your goals.

There is a well known method for weight loss which is just common sense & not rocket science, eat less & exercise more. If you eat less you take in less calories & if you exercise more you burn off more calories which means your body has to get its energy from somewhere else ie the fatty tissue hanging around inside your body. The result is, you lose weight, simple right?

Well if only it were that easy but it’s not. The saying you are what you eat maybe not exactly literally true but it does make some sense. After all if you ate healthy foods like fish & vegetables & I ate fatty foods like potato chips & chocolate it doesn’t take a bachelors degree to work out which of us would have the healthier looking body. However everybody is different & what works for person may not work for others. For instance I, & I’m sure you will too, know people who seem to eat whatever they like & never seem to put on a ounce in weight But they are the exception rather than the rule. The rest of us have to watch what we eat & take regular exercise in order to achieve our desired weight loss.

We can all follow, or at least try to follow these 7 essential rules when it come to healthy living.

1. Drink plenty of water. Water aids in digestion & can help to reduce those hunger cravings.

2. Reduce the amount of red meat you eat. It is well known that red meat is not good for us & is high in fat, eat white meat eg chicken or fish.

3. Eat fresh rather than frozen vegetables

4. Eat plenty of fruit. Fruit is a great source of vitamins.

5. Eat less more often. Instead of 3 large meals a day eat 5 or 6 smaller meals, this will take away the urge to snack in between meals & stop you overeating.

6. Eat slowly. It takes time for the message that your stomach is full to reach your brain.

7. Perform regular exercise. You don’t have to go to the gym everyday to exercise. Take a walk at lunch time or get out & rake those leaves off the lawn; anything to get your blood pumping & raise your metabolism to burn off those calories.

Summer vacations in an archipelago like the Philippines are often spent on the beach, frolicking in the water, enjoying the sun and surf, or idling the time away on the sand just watching other people have fun. To many people, the coming of summer means a return to the gym or health club in order to whip one’s body back to shape, shedding excess pounds, burning the fat away, in order to look as good as possible in skimpy bikinis or swimming trunks.

For many who do not have the time nor the motivation to spend hours working out in the gym, cosmetic surgery offers a quick solution to the problem of how to look good in swimwear without having to exercise. The popularity of cosmetic surgery coupled with its increasing affordability has made cosmetic surgery a viable option for many who desire an attractive body shape.

What better way is there to get curvy or flat contours other than liposuction? In 2005, it is estimated that more than 270,000 people underwent liposuction in the U.S.A. alone, making it the most popular cosmetic surgery procedure. Such big numbers indicate a desire of a large number of people to have an attractive figure. For men, this generally means having a flat abdomen coupled with straight flanks on both sides. Women on the other hand undergo liposuction to get thinner waistlines and to remove localized fatty bulges that are most difficult to get rid of even with rigorous exercise. Areas where fat deposits are the hips, thighs, abdomen, and buttocks, as well as on arms, knees, calves, upper torso, neck and under the chin.

Liposuction is a safe procedure when done by a well-qualified plastic surgeon. Patients with young, healthy elastic skin who have localized areas of fat are the best candidates for liposuction. This procedure can be done on an outpatient basis, if the fat to be removed totals 5 liters or less. (For amounts greater than 5 liters, it is recommended that patients stay a night or two in the hospital). After liposuction is performed, patients are advised to wear compression garments for 2 weeks, in order to prevent accumulation of blood (hematoma) or serum (seroma), and to enable the skin to adhere to underlying tissues.

There may be some swelling and bruising after liposuction, but these usually subside within 6 to 8 weeks. Patients are advised to restrict their activities for the first two weeks following surgery. Sports activities are resumed gradually on the third postoperative week. Direct sun exposure of liposuctioned areas should be avoided until all bruising has disappeared, usually within 2 to 4 weeks. This schedule for gradual resumption of normal routine should be kept in mind by those who would like to be active on the beach by the time summer starts.

The second most popular cosmetic surgery procedure is breast augmentation. Current norms of beauty regard women with full shapely breasts and thin waists as more attractive than those with breasts of lesser dimensions. It is no secret that women with bigger breasts will get more admiring looks from men compared to those with flatter chests. Do you still wonder why “Baywatch” is the most watched television show all over the world?

Following breast surgery, patients may have minimal to moderate pain which is controlled by painkiller medications. Antibiotics are also prescribed to prevent infection. Patients are advised bed rest and limited activities for the first few days after surgery. Sutures are removed in 5 to 7 days. After one week, massage of recommended to keep the breasts supple. There may be numbness around the treated area but this is usually temporary. There may be swelling and discoloration, but these disappear in a few days. Scars from the incisions are initially pinkish in color but this will gradually fade with time. Patients who wish to undergo breast augmentation should schedule their surgery around a month before summer starts in order to allow time for recovery and resumption of normal activity.

Tummy Tuck or Liposuction - Which Cosmetic Surgery Is Right For Me?

A common misconception amongst patients considering cosmetic surgery of the abdominal area is that the choice exists to have either a tummy tuck or liposuction and that either of these two procedures will produce similar results. In most cases, a patient is a far better candidate for either a tummy tuck or liposuction and the procedures are not interchangeable.

The decision as to which plastic surgery procedure is best must be made in conjunction with a qualified plastic surgeon but the following is a general guideline:

Typically, patients whose abdominal area has loose excess skin, or significant stretch marks will need a tummy tuck and will not benefit from liposuction alone. This is because liposuction is a procedure that only removes fat. Skin is esentially unaffected. Therefore if there is substantial loose skin or stretch marks to start with, liposuction will not remove any of the extra skin or any of the stretch mark-bearing skin. Furthermore, liposuction in these circumstances can actually worsen the problem by removing the “foundation” on which the skin rests, i.e. the underlying fat thereby leaving even looser skin than the patient started with.

Liposuction to the abdominal area is more appropriate in cases of younger patients with firm, taut abdominal skin whose main problem is extra fat. In these cases, skin reliably shrinks over the liposucked area and a great cosmetic result can be obtained. Remember that this is only a guideline. The ultimate decision as to which procedure(s) is best for you should be made during a private consultation with a qualified surgeon.

Who is a Candidate for a Tummy Tuck?

A tummy tuck can benefit individuals with the following features of the abdominal area:

(1) excessive, loose, sagging skin
(2) stretch marks, such as after pregnancy
(3) excess fat on the abdomen
(4) a rounded tummy that would benefit from flattening

How is a Tummy Tuck Done?

A tummy tuck involves multiple surgical steps, each designed to enhance the cosmetic appearance and feel of your abdominal area. The tummy tuck starts by making an incision low down on the abdominal wall. Dr. Backstein places this incision as low down as possible so that it is generally not detectable in a bathing suit or a bikini. Depending on your body structure, fully hiding the incision scar may not be feasible. Following the initial incision, a tummy tuck will involve plication (firm tightening) of the muscle layer, excision and removal of as much excess skin and fat as possible, and placement of the umbilicus (belly button) into an anatomically pleasing location on the abdominal wall. Dr. Backstein includes liposuction of the upper abdominal area and love handles as part of the tummy tuck procedure.

Tummy Tuck Cosmetic Surgery Scars.

There are two scars that are left by a tummy tuck. These are a horizontal scar placed low down above the pubic area and a circular scar carefully placed around the belly button. Both of these scars are absolutely needed if a tummy tuck is to be done properly and effectively. Any procedure that attempts to avoid these scars will always compromise the result of the surgery in terms of tightening, flattening, and overall abdominal beauty. Scars in general are dynamic. This means that scars go through phases during which the visibility of the scar changes from more to less. During the first two months after a tummy tuck or liposuction, scars will usually have a certain amount of redness to them. This is called the inflammatory phase of wound healing.

Following this, for up to a full year, the scars will fade more and more. It is important to note that healing of surgical incisions is very much an individual trait much like hair colour or skin tone. People will heal incisions and form scars differently even when undergoing the exact same surgery done by the same surgeon. As a rule, patients are so thrilled and excited by the dramatic flattening of their abdomens and the psychological lift that this provides that tummy tuck scars are quickly overlooked and ignored.

Tummy Tuck Recovery.

How Much Pain Will I Have?

Following a tummy tuck, patients describe a major feeling of tightness around the abdomen. The discomfort is described as an intense muscle ache similar to the feeling after an aggressive abdominal workout. Dr. Backstein feels that the best tummy tucks will cause a certain amount of post operative discomfort. This is related to the extent of tightening that the surgeon has achieved. If a tummy tuck doesn’t hurt at all, the abdomen was likely not tightened adequately. Swelling and bruising is always seen after a tummy tuck or liposuction. Dr. Backstein always provides supplemental liposuction to the upper abdominal area and love handles and bruising will be seen in these areas.

Do I Need To Stay Overnight?

Most patients are able to leave the hospital on the evening of the surgical day. Arrangements can always be made for patients to stay overnight if so desired. Although straining, heavy lifting and bending should be avoided, tummy tuck patients must start minimal walking and leg exercises the day of the surgery. Lying in bed for hours at a time is dangerous and must be avoided to minimize the risk of blood clots. When going to sleep, a couple of pillows under the knees and behind the head will act to ease the tension on the surgical incision and will help relieve discomfort.

When Can I Return To Work?

Patients with jobs that require significant physical activity including bending, lifting, or quick movement will need about 4 weeks off before being able to return to full duties comfortably. Those patients with jobs not demanding physical activity can return to work after 2 weeks.

When Can I Work Out?

Light work outs involving exercises that do not strain the surgical incision or the abdominal muscles can begin at 2-3 weeks. This includes brisk walking or stationary bike riding. Heavier work outs including abdominal crunches, sit-ups and running should not be attempted for about 1 month.

Do I Need to Wear a Special Garment?

Yes, tummy tuck patients should wear a compressive corset provided by Dr. Backstein for the first 3-4 weeks post plastic surgery.

Complications Associated with Tummy Tucks.

Significant complications following a tummy tuck are rare. This is very much related to the fact that a tummy tuck is a superficial cosmetic surgery focusing on the skin and fat and upper muscle layers and not involving major or vital organs. All potential tummy tuck complications will be reviewed with you in detail by Dr. Backstein during your initial consultation. These include:

anesthesia side effects and complications

infections

post-operative bleeding

incision separation

blood clots

slow healing areas

Tummy Tuck: The Only Cure For Stretch Marks.

One thing is abundantly clear about stretch marks and that is that absolutely no cream or topical ointments exist to remove them. Stretch marks are scars that occur within the substance of the skin when it is exposed to excessive stretching or shearing force. The abdominal area develops stretch marks during pregnancy due to the stretching of the skin by the growing fetus in the womb.

Just as no cream exists to erase scars on the skin, none exists to eliminate stretch marks either although there are many products on the market that claim to do so. A tummy tuck will remove about 90% of stretch marks from the abdominal wall. As a rule of thumb, all the stretch marks below the level of the belly button will be removed with the large piece of skin and fat that is discarded during the tummy tuck surgery. Moreover, the stretch marks that are above the belly button get pulled far down on the abdomen, just above the pubic area as part of the tummy tuck procedure. This means that about 90% of your stretch marks are removed completely and the rest shift to a much less visible area. It truly is fair to say that tummy tuck surgery is the only cure for abdominal stretch marks.

The Effects of Pregnancy On Tummy Tuck Surgery.

It is all too clear that pregnancy induces unwanted changes in the abdominal area that often lead people to seeking surgical improvement. These pregnancy-induced changes include general weight gain, looseness and laxity of abdominal skin, and of course, stretch marks.

A tummy tuck operation is the very best surgical procedure to dramatically improve all of the above mentioned changes of the abdominal region. Unfortunately, much of the improvement achieved through a tummy tuck can, at least in part, be diminished by the effects of subsequent pregnancy. It is important to remember that our bodies are dynamic and constantly changing. The beneficial effects of tummy tuck surgery are not “carved in stone”, but need to be maintained. Pregnancy after a tummy tuck will lead to generalized weight gain, and stretching and distension of the abdominal wall as the baby grows in the womb. This will cause some degree of skin laxity and stretch marks similar to that present prior to the tummy tuck surgery. Your tummy area will, however, still look better than it would have had you never undergone tummy tuck surgery.

Exercise and Diet: Maintaining The Results of Your Cosmetic Surgery.

The human body is dynamic and always in a state of change. No surgical procedure exists to reshape, recontour or tighten a body region that is absolutely permanent. The results of a tummy tuck and liposuction need to be maintained. A healthy lifestyle must be followed after surgery to maintain the dramatic flattening and tightness of the abdominal region that a tummy tuck or liposuction provides. Poor diet and sedentary lifestyle will, over time cause weight gain and skin stretching after tummy tuck surgery. Happily, the vast majority of patients find that after a tummy tuck or liposuction, they feel so good both mentally and physically that excercise and healthy eating become a welcome part of their post surgical lifestyle.

Skin care is basic to extend the healthy beauty of your face that is your presentation card, the first thing that most people notice when they first meet you. Preventing dehydration and other factors, which are directly responsible for skin aging all over your body should be a must, but particularly important when it comes to talking about facial skin care.

Actually, there are a number of products intended to keep optimal skin conditions, reverse age-related marks, or regain the youthfulness that has gone, such as spider vein cream, or cream for stretch marks, which are at the same time a natural beauty lift, but without cosmetic surgery. The sooner you start a preventive anti-aging treatment, the easier your skin will respond in a positive manner.

Along with beauty products especially designed to achieve radiant, healthy skin, there are a few almost cost-free techniques, which are priceless, starting from a cleansing routine performed at least twice a day, using a mild, natural, soap or inexpensive cleanser designed for your skin type. If your skin is dry, avoid the soap and clean only once.

Make your skin care program a relaxation time. Add a few drops of essential oil to your cleanser to boost its cleaning effect adding the aromatic quality of jasmine, spearmint, orange or rose, among many other essential oils you can get from your health store or over the counter pharmacy.

As part of your skin care always wear a sunscreen and lip-screen with at least SPF 15, containing UVA and UVB protection, to avoid the novice ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sunlight, and making sure to reapply it when your activities demand a prolonged stay outdoors.

Apart from applying to your face a cream for stretch marks, exercising is another useful aid to keeping healthy skin, because exercise oxygenates your cells facilitating waste removal through your skin. Whether, you are fitness devoted or a woman who does not like the idea of exercising, or does not have enough time for sophisticated routines, just by walking, biking or jogging you are helping with your skin care.

You can improve not only your skins appearance, but also manage your weight effectively, increase your energy and enhance cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance. Additionally, drink plenty of water, because it keeps your skin hydrated, moisturized, and impurities free. As the final step of your daily skin maintenance routine, sleep well and never go to bed with makeup on, because the skin needs to breathe by night.

Following these easy steps, your chances to undergo cosmetic surgery are minimal, particularly if you reduce or eliminate the consumption of alcohol, drugs, chemicals, and heavy metals that damage your skin. Complement your skin caring routine with creams such as spider vein cream, especially designed to prevent aging effects and other internal and external natural products that improve your overall health, which at the end translates into beautiful skin.
